Financial Controller - Permanent role

£80,000 - £90,000 (No bonus)
Robert Half is partnering with a high-growth, international software business operating in highly regulated, complex markets to recruit a Financial Controller for their London-based finance team.
This is a hands-on controllership role within a multi-entity, multinational environment, offering exposure to a fast-scaling organisation with ongoing acquisition activity and meaningful change across EMEA.
The role
You will take ownership of end-to-end financial reporting and control across several legal entities. The role blends technical accounting, operational finance, audit management and commercial partnering, with scope to help shape and strengthen a growing finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading month-end, half-year and year-end close processes across multiple entities
2. Producing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations
3. Maintaining robust financial controls, governance and balance sheet integrity
4. Acting as the primary point of contact for external audit
5. Managing multi-entity, multi-currency reporting, intercompany and FX processes
6. Partnering with stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and financial insight
7. Driving process improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives
8. Managing and developing a small team, with scope to grow headcount over time
About you
9. ACA qualified (must be practice/audit trained) with minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience in industry
10. Strong technical accounting background with excellent financial control and reporting capability
11. Experience working in a large, complex, multi-entity and multinational environment (listed exposure beneficial)
12. Commercially astute, comfortable working with senior stakeholders outside of finance
13. Evidence of process improvement, project work or automation mindset
14. Prior people management experience beneficial but not essential

15. Salary £80,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)
