Assistant Cook
20.45 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus inset days)
Part-time, permanent
Salary: AAT C.5 - C.7 (£12,343.91 - £12,837.63 per annum)
Required to start: As soon as possible
Halling Primary School is seeking an experienced Assistant Cook who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to supporting our busy school kitchen.
As Assistant Cook, you will work under the guidance of Catering Manager by:
1. Providing healthy, fresh school dinners, in the structured given time
2. Working as a team player amongst the friendly, established catering team.
We would love to hear from you if you:
3. Have previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment, preferably within a school setting
4. Hold basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) or are willing to obtain
5. Show genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
6. Excel as a supportive and collaborative team player
7. Have good communication skills and a proactive attitude
8. Want to work in a supportive and caring environment.
