Nuclear Safety Committee Secretary
Location: Helensburgh, GB, G84 8HL
Hybrid working arrangements available; on-site attendance is required for committee meetings.
Role
The Nuclear Safety Committee Secretary supports the Ministry of Defence Safety Assurance function by providing high‑quality secretariat services to Nuclear Safety Committees within the Design function.
Responsibilities
* Support Nuclear Safety Committees by providing full pre‑ and post‑meeting secretariat services
* Prepare accurate, high‑quality technical minutes for safety‑critical meetings
* Manage document control, archives and associated databases in line with governance requirements
* Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across sensitive and regulated information
* Provide general administrative support to the wider Design team as needed
Essential Experience
* Proven experience in minute taking, ideally in formal or technical meetings
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Experience working in a regulated or compliance‑driven environment
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail
* Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications
* English and Mathematics at Level 3 / Standard Grade or equivalent
* Formal or practical minute‑taking qualification or training
* Experience within quality management systems is desirable but not essential
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency held or held previously.
