Job Purpose
The Assortment tool aims to empower retailers and CPGs by providing a streamlined, data-driven approach to optimizing product ranges. It connects category planning with in-store execution, ensuring that assortment recommendations are tailored to customer preferences and practical for shelf implementation. By integrating data science with client insights, the tool supports continuous, 'always-on' category assessments, fostering better team alignment, enhancing customer experience, and driving incremental sales.
Key Accountabilities
Execute with Excellence: Lead your squad through daily operations by planning, facilitating, and executing:
* Education: Coach and develop team members on product best practices and frameworks.
* Planning: Communicate the product vision and strategy regularly to ensure alignment.
* Leadership: Stay connected with the team to coach and assist, fostering empowerment to solve problems independently.
Measure what matters: Identify key success metrics for your product, partner with squads to implement measurement plans, and use data to inform decisions.
Leadership: Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing:
* Develop and promote team behaviors aligned with the product roadmap and company values.
* Address performance issues proactively.
* Encourage workplace learning and responsibility for personal growth.
Practice core product skills: Continuously develop skills such as:
* Communicating the product story effectively to various audiences.
* Understanding the business, market, and user needs.
* Building relationships across teams including marketing, commercial, and implementation.
