We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist wishing to take their next steps on the career ladder and looking for a new challenge. The individual needs to be proactive and enthusiastic and will be joining the Acute Stroke Team to cover a maternity leave.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of an integrated team and act as an autonomous practitioner to provide a high standard of intervention across the speciality.
* Provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients within the acute stroke ward.
* Work alongside colleagues as an independent practitioner and apply a high level of clinical reasoning to ensure individualised, proactive and holistic assessment and treatment planning.
* Support and develop rotational Band 5 therapists.
* Supervise therapy support staff and educate therapy students on placement.
* Introduce and participate in relevant quality improvement projects to develop the Acute Stroke team.
Qualifications
Band 6 Occupational Therapist with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
