Registered Manager – Brand-New Childrens Home

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week + on-call
Salary: Up to £53,725 (with bonuses!)

Were launching a brand-new 4-bed children’s home in beautiful, rural Somerset – and we need a Registered Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and lead with heart and grit.
What Youll Do
* Run the home day-to-day, shaping a positive, nurturing environment for young people
* Lead, develop, and motivate a dedicated staff team (approx. 9 team members)
* Deliver safe, person-centred care in line with Ofsted regs
* Handle referrals, audits, reports, deadlines—and make it all look easy
* Be a visible, trusted leader both in the home and out in the community
What Youll Need
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
* Min. 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including 1 year supervising staff
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted
* A positive, “let’s make this happen” attitude
* Driving licence, car with business insurance, and on-call availability

* Occupancy bonus: £175 per child after the first – that’s up to £525/month
* Ofsted bonuses: £500 (Good), £1,000 (Outstanding)
* £2k car allowance + enhanced sick pay
* 9% employer pension contribution
* 22 days holiday (+ bank hols)
* On-call pay: £10 weekday, £50 weekends
