Job Description:
A multi-billion dollar AUM Hedge Fund is looking to make a newly created hire for its expanding London office.
The hire will report directly to the European Head of Operations / Middle Office and will serve as an SME for equities, taking ownership of operations and middle office tasks related to the firm’s expanding equities investment strategy. Since many tasks are outsourced, a core focus will be on analytical tasks, oversight of external service providers, and project work, mainly related to infrastructure buildout or support for equities investment professionals. The hire will act as a first point of contact for the European equities business, interfacing with multiple Prime Brokers.
The firm values strong progression and development; the initial plan is for the hire to develop into an Operations Manager. Other career paths within the global operations team include roles in desk assistance, business management, treasury, and change management. There are also opportunities for top performers to transfer internally to international offices in the future.
Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in hedge fund operations, with a strong background in equities, excellent academic credentials, and strong technical skills.
The role offers a salary range of £80-110k initially, with top performers earning significant bonuses based on performance.
