The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail operations within the community pharmacy setting. This role involves overseeing daily dispensary activities, managing staff, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Dispensary Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, maintaining organisational efficiency, and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the dispensary team to ensure smooth daily operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Manage staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to optimise team productivity.
* Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and ensuring compliance with legal storage requirements.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets while maintaining regulatory standards.
* Ensure all activities adhere to local laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory levels, and staff schedules using organisational tools.
* Foster a welcoming environment through excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
* Coordinate with suppliers and manage procurement processes efficiently.
* Monitor dispensary operations to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
* Promote a positive team culture centred around leadership, organisation, and collaborative success.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in management roles within retail or pharmacy environments; supervising experience is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as record keeping and stock control.
* Effective communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
* Experience in sales management and merchandising strategies within a retail setting.
* Demonstrated time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of cannabis products, legal regulations, and compliance standards is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
