Overview
A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for a Head of Fire Safety & Asbestos to join their Compliance & Technical Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority in a residential or property compliance environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Fire Safety & Asbestos team to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and client requirements.
* Represent the organisation with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
* Act as the ‘responsible person’ for effective management of fire and asbestos risk in residential properties.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review compliance policies and procedures.
* Oversee budgets, procurement, and contract management for fire safety and asbestos services.
Candidate/Qualifications
* Extensive experience in fire safety and/or asbestos management within the residential or public sector.
* Proven senior management experience, including leading teams and managing significant budgets.
* Recognised professional qualifications in fire safety or relevant health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association).
Desirable Skills
* Experience with public sector procurement and contract management (e.g., JCT/NEC/TPC contracts).
* Strong stakeholder management experience, including senior leadership and board-level reporting.
* Proven ability to implement legislative and procedural changes effectively.
Compensation
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £600 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £500 per day PAYE).
