Description
We are seeking an organised and proactive Legal Assistant to support the Planning & Environmental team. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the department running smoothly, providing administrative and document support to Partners and fee‑earners.
The Role
In this role, the Legal Assistant will support day‑to‑day legal and administrative tasks to ensure effective team operations.
1. Manage file opening/closing and electronic document systems
2. Support billing, time recording and client account processes
3. Conduct Land Registry and other online searches
4. Prepare and compile legal documents and PDF bundles
5. Manage data rooms and document storage
6. General administrative tasks, including scanning, printing, post management and expenses
7. Provide support at seminars and assist other teams when required
The Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is detail‑focused, proactive and confident working in a fast‑paced environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
9. Confident using Microsoft Office
10. Excellent communication and client service skills
11. Able to manage multiple tasks and use initiative
12. Previous administrative experience is essential
