Vehicle Technician required in Plymouth
1. Independent Garage
2. Basic salary up to £40k DOE
3. Monday to Friday (8:30am to 5:30pm) working week with optional Saturday overtime
Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity in Plymouth, Devon? Our client, a reputable and well-established automotive repair centre, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy workshop environment with a focus on quality service and long-term career prospects.

Duties:
10. Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues across all makes and models
11. Conducting routine servicing, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and engine replacements
12. Fitting cam belts, brakes, and suspension components
13. Performing diagnostic work using various tools and equipment
14. Replacing gearboxes and engines where necessary, without strip/rebuild work on automatic transmissions
15. Assisting with MOT testing, if qualified, or undergoing training post-probation
16. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Requirements of this Vehicle Technician role:
17. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a busy workshop environment
18. Competent in diagnostics and heavy mechanical repairs
19. Excellent knowledge of electrical systems and engine work
20. Ideally, hold current MOT tester certification, or be willing to undertake training after probation
21. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
22. Ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative
23. Full UK driving licence
