Supply Chain Planner
* Annual Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
* Location: South Birmingham
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Supply Chain Planner. This role is crucial in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand to meet business needs and ensure customer satisfaction. It is suitable for individuals who excel in a collaborative environment and are proficient with advanced forecasting tools.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Analyze sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to forecast future demand accurately.
* Use leading forecasting and replenishment systems to manage demand forecasts, product lifecycles, and order placements.
* Collaborate daily with Category Management, Branch Operations, Central Distribution, and Suppliers to monitor stock levels and track purchase orders throughout the supply chain.
* Lead regular review meetings with stakeholders to discuss forecast accuracy, variances, and corrective actions.
* Utilize strong analytical skills, maintain excellent organization, and communicate effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Planner or similar role within supply chain management.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical forecasting and inventory management software.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
