We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Chef Apprentice. You will work with an experienced culinary team in all areas of our kitchens. You will work towards a recognised culinary qualification in collaboration with University College Birmingham.
The role requires energy, dedication, and organisation. You will work with passionate colleagues in an exciting environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of specified work according to senior chef instructions.
* Prepare and cook food, ensuring top quality.
* Perform daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating, and storage.
* Identify hazards, report defects, and ensure safety in the kitchen.
* Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professionalism.
* Assist with acceptance and storage of deliveries following company procedures.
* Familiar with opening and closing procedures of the kitchen.
* Keep the work area clean and assist with hygiene and cleanliness tasks.
* Comply with statutory health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention, and employment laws.
* Be aware of and use workplace chemicals safely.
