Major Recruitment is working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a proactive and organised Packing & Distribution Team Leader. This role plays a key part in ensuring all finished goods and materials are carefully prepared, protected, and dispatched to meet customer requirements. Location: Halifax Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks) Pay Rate: Up to £15.00 per hour DOE Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the packing and distribution area, ensuring it is well-organised and efficient Oversee the protection and safe handling of manufactured goods in preparation for delivery or collection Manage, motivate, and support team members to achieve quality and productivity targets Maintain high standards of packing, using appropriate techniques and materials to suit each product type Monitor goods received, ensuring they arrive in good condition and reporting any shortages or damage Arrange couriers and coordinate collection of materials from suppliers Track workflow to meet customer deadlines and production schedules Operate Counterbalance FLT safely for loading, unloading, and moving stock Keep the workspace clean, tidy, and compliant with Health and Safety regulations Maintain clear and professional communication with colleagues, management, and customers Undertake additional duties as directed by management to support production and dispatch operations About You Previous experience in a packing, distribution, or warehouse leadership role Counterbalance FLT licence essential Excellent organisational and communication skills Strong leadership ability with a hands-on approach Knowledge of packaging materials, handling methods, and Health & Safety standards Ability to work efficiently to deadlines with attention to detail Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet business demands If you're an experienced and motivated team leader who takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a hardworking and supportive team within a growing production environment.
