Accounts Assistant
Salary: £27,000–£28,000 per yearJob Type: Full-time, PermanentLocation: In person
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. If you have experience in purchase/sales ledger management and enjoy working in a busy environment where attention to detail matters, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing supplier invoices
* Maintaining the purchase ledger
* Reconciling monthly supplier statements and preparing the monthly BACS payment run
* Producing and sending monthly customer statements
* Reconciling the daily bank statement
* Chasing outstanding debtors and maintaining the sales ledger
* Reconciling monthly petty cash
* Carrying out general administrative duties as required
Skills & Experience
* Experience in a sales/purchase ledger or accounts role is highly desirable
* Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills
* High attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies
* Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
