About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex medical and learning needs Assisting with personal care, including toileting and feeding
Supporting pupils with mobility needs, sometimes involving hoisting Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Experience of working with children and young people with a range of complex needs; cerebral palsy, wheelchair users, down syndrome, hearing impairment, severe autism.
Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals

Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND A calm, patient and empathetic approach

Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
16. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
