The role:
1. Build & maintain relationships with customers to make sales and increase profitability.
2. Encourage repeat purchases and brand loyalty by adding value to transactions, providing the right solutions alongside excellent customer service.
3. Responding to questions and queries both internally and from customers (telephone, email, video calling, face to face)
4. Preparing quotations – Liaising with external teams, technical teams and commercial management where required.
5. Proactive quotation follow up calls.
6. Negotiating with customers to secure orders.
7. Liaising with other departments pre and post sale (including finance, operations technical and design)
The successful candidate:
Experience of processing orders and/or producing quotes in the building/construction industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
Candidates should have:
8. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grades A-C
9. An enthusiastic can do attitude able to work on own initiative.
10. Excellent communication skills.
11. Methodical, organised with ability to prioritise.
12. Computer literate (Particularly Microsoft Office and Dynamics CRM)
13. Accurate with good attention to detail.
14. Able to manage and respond to multiple issues at once whilst meeting deadlines
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable skills and attributes:
16. Experience of working in a construction or manufacturing business.
17. Proven track record of account management and converting quotes to orders.
18. Able to read and understand drawings.
