We are seeking a professional and proactive PA/Events Secretary to join us on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a unique opportunity to support the Clerk (CEO) in a pivotal, highly visible role at the heart of the Company’s operations. About the Role This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with: A full handover in November 2025 Contract concluding January 2027 Hybrid working: Tuesdays to Thursdays in the Hall, Mondays and Fridays remote As PA/Events Secretary, you will provide full administrative and social secretarial support to the Clerk and act as a key point of contact for members, guests, and external partners. You’ll be deeply involved in the planning and delivery of Company events and will help uphold the high standards and traditions the Company is known for. This role will suit someone who is confident, organised, and able to balance formality with flexibility in a traditional yet dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Diary and inbox management for the Clerk Drafting correspondence, minutes, and formal documentation Liaising with members, suppliers, and stakeholders Supporting the planning and delivery of Livery events and functions Managing guest lists, RSVPs, and seating plans Helping maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the Clerk’s office What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
