HGV Driver Trainer/Assessor – Market Drayton - Nights Position available.
Great opportunity to utilise you’re driving skills and knowledge. We are looking for a C+E driver trainer based at Market Drayton. This is 6 on and 2 off shift pattern. The candidate must be flexible and able to cover a range of shifts and days. Weekend work will be compulsory as this falls within the 6-day work. You will be working for one of the UK largest transport groups. You may be required to work as a Class 1 driver during busy periods, such as Christmas and the summer holidays, so a Class 1 license is required to apply for this role. Milk Tanker experience preferred.
Shift pattern:
6 on 2 off pattern Nights Start: 18:00 – 04:00 (with flexibility a few hours either side, and overtime)
Pay Rates
1. Monday - Friday - Days (0400 - 1800) £15.87
2. Monday - Friday - Nights (1800 - 0400) £18.13
3. Monday to Friday- overtime after 47.5 days (0400 - 1800) £17.85
4. Monday to Friday- overtime after 47.5 nights (1800 - 0400) £20.39
5. Saturday Day (0400 - 1800) £17.85
6. Saturday Night (1800 - 0400) £20.39
7. Sunday- BH Day (0400 - 1800) £23.80
8. Sunday - BH Night (1800 - 0400) £27.19
9. + Weekly uplift of £20
Knowledge & Experience Required.
10. Hold a full and current cat C+E driving License for at least 3 years.
11. Be a good communicator with the ability to engage colleagues.
12. Have a full understanding of Drivers Hours and Tachograph Legislation.
13. Have a full understanding of Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD) Legislation.
14. Be prepared to deliver Driver CPC training.
15. Have a good understanding of the English Language.
16. Basic computer skills required.
17. Always remain polite and professional, whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
18. Have good timekeeping and attendance records.
19. Versatile and flexible on hours to suit the business needs and efficiencies.
20. Be prepared to undertake training to increase own skill levels.
21. Be an advocate for the business, promoting best practice processes.
Duties will include.
22. Carry out driving assessments for new and existing drivers.
23. Delivery of driver CPC Training.
24. Provide support for on-route learning & delivery point familiarisation.
25. Monitor Tachograph Infringement trends, providing support and manual entry training as required.
26. Coaching on Safe Driving, Accident & Fuel Focus Development.
27. Mentor Warehouse to Wheels and other training scheme candidates.
28. Be prepared to carry out general driving duties / delivering produce if required.
