As a Barclays Stress Testing AVP, you will play a key role in delivering Barclays Europe's regulatory and internal capital adequacy stress testing processes. You will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end execution of the bi-annual European Banking Authority (EBA) stress test, working across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and IT to gather inputs, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality, timely submissions. Additionally, you will support the development and maintenance of stress testing frameworks, policies, and documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards.
You should have a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, capital management, and stress testing processes, along with experience in financial forecasting, scenario modelling, or regulatory reporting. This is a dynamic role that offers exposure across the organization and the opportunity to influence how Barclays meets evolving regulatory expectations.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience in Finance, Risk, or regulatory project delivery. You will possess a solid understanding of regulatory stress testing, capital management, or financial forecasting. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, coupled with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, are essential.

Purpose of the role
To develop and implement the bank's financial plans and stress testing methodologies by assessing the bank's resilience under various economic scenarios.
Accountabilities
* Developing and implementing stress testing methodologies, analyzing results to identify vulnerabilities, assess capital adequacy, and inform risk mitigation strategies.
* Managing the bank's financial risks, including developing risk management strategies and communicating financial risks to stakeholders.
* Analyzing the bank's capital position and assessing its ability to meet regulatory capital requirements, developing capital management strategies, and evaluating the impact of capital allocation decisions.
* Orchestrating process cycles for Planning and Stress Testing FTC and managing the delivery of planning processes and stress tests.
* Documenting requirements prescribed by regulators, tracking processes/data, and reporting progress via relevant committees and tools.
* Managing data, data flows, and data quality from contributors to report submissions.
* Managing BAU systems to enable quick outcomes and iterative generation of capital or funding plans, and driving process reengineering initiatives.
* Owning the controls environment, standards, and conformance, partnering with BIA to meet controls and governance objectives.
* Providing ongoing governance support, including regulatory liaison, engagement with the Group & BBUK Board, and external auditors.
