Job Description
An excellent opportunity for a Microsoft Power Platform - Automation Architect to be part of Cognizant’s Intelligent Process Automation practice. This role combines advisory services with deep vendor partnerships and integrated solutions to create and execute strategic roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define architecture models based on the organization’s overall business and technology vision.
2. Own architectural decisions, including security management, infrastructure, application layer interfacing approach, and solution performance standards.
3. Lead the identification and evaluation of alternative solutions.
4. Guide teams in identifying technical risks early in the process.
5. Assist the team in reusing organization-level technical assets, such as existing APIs.
6. Ensure the team defines non-functional requirements aligned with organizational standards and guidelines.
7. Promote the use of engineering best practices, including continuous integration and automated deployment where applicable.
8. Develop relevant use cases for client engagements, such as proof-of-concepts (POC), proof-of-value (POV), proof-of-technology (POT), and production deployments.
9. Establish standards and guidelines, and drive technology best practices.
10. Lead the design and architecture of robust end-to-end solutions focused on automation and integration.
11. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
12. Ensure effective integration and optimization of M365 (MSPP, SharePoint), D365 with other organizational technologies.
13. Oversee the implementation process, including solution proposal, requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and deployment.
14. Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team during build and testing phases.
15. Coordinate with the deployment team for a smooth transition from development to production.
16. Maintain a focus on security throughout the solution lifecycle.
17. Apply R&D skills to analyze and identify solutions based on best practices.
18. Mentor colleagues in RPA training and accreditation, offering advice on best practices and development techniques.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Experience building PowerApps (Model-driven with Dataverse, Canvas Apps), Power Automate Cloud Flows, Power Automate Desktop with RPA background, Portals with Dynamics 365 CRM.
2. Deep understanding of automation and the Microsoft Power Platform.
3. Hands-on experience with programming languages such as .NET, Java, VB, C#/C, HTML/CSS, Python, Web Services, mainframe, web applications, SQL, data integration tools, and technical automation tools.
4. Proven experience as a technology architect.
5. Experience as an architect for RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, leading large RPA implementation programs (automating at least 10 processes).
6. Experience working within an agile, continuous integration environment.
7. Familiarity with CI/CD processes using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
8. Experience with cloud technologies.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
11. Certifications in Power Automate, Power Pages, D365 solution architecture.
12. Relevant industry experience, particularly in the UK&I public sector.
13. Knowledge of third-party solutions and integrations.
