Job summary
Our Outpatient Department facilitates & supports a wide range of specialist clinics and nurse-led clinics, both face-to-face and remote. We are looking for Staff/Dental Nurses to join our friendly, supportive team. This role offers an opportunity to work within a varied area covering many specialties.
You will participate in the day-to-day running of the department, providing support to all services following induction & ongoing support. You will be expected to develop and maintain good organisational skills, act as a positive role model, and provide an environment conducive to supporting Healthcare Support Workers and Associate Nursing Practitioner staff, while enhancing the patient journey & experience. To be eligible, you must maintain an active nursing and midwifery council (NMC) registration.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Outpatient team, you will focus on patient care, aiming for a good patient experience, providing a high standard of care while maintaining their privacy and dignity. You will assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care, and support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
You will support the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in your clinical area, actively promote self-development, and contribute to maintaining and improving high standards of patient care, ensuring patients are treated with privacy, dignity, and respect.
You must be able to work across both Basildon and Orsett sites.

Person Specification
Experience:
* Essential: Demonstrable experience as a registered Nurse
* Desirable: Experience within an outpatient setting, NHS Experience
Qualifications:
* Essential: Registered Nurse with NMC
* Desirable: Diploma in Nursing, Paediatric Nurse
