Registered Building Inspector (2A-F) Building Control

Duties and responsibilities of the Role
* Assess Building Regulation applications for compliance with Building Regulation across the city and wider area and carry out appropriate enforcement activity where necessary.
* Liaise with applicants and agents in relation to Building Regulation applications.
* Undertake site inspection activity in relation to Building Regulation applications.
* Undertake assessments of dangerous structures to ensure public safety is maintained and carry out other public safety work.
* Operate in accordance with defined protocols and procedures, to ensure compliance with the Operating Standards Rules.
Essential skills/qualifications
* A member of a relevant professional body e.g. RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent, or working towards this.
* Educated to degree level or have suitable experience.
* Current in terms of Continuing Professional Development.
