Job Purpose
To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair works across low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) distribution networks in accordance with SPEN and ENWL framework specifications. The role ensures all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DNO standards, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair LV and HV electrical distribution systems.
* Carry out service terminations, jointing assistance, panel wiring, and metering works.
* Perform fault finding and diagnostics on network infrastructure.
* Work on new connections, upgrades, and reinforcement projects.
* Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Ensure compliance with DNO procedures, G81 standards, and current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
* Conduct testing and inspection of electrical installations and complete certification.
* Maintain accurate documentation including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and completion records.
* Liaise professionally with clients, local authorities, and members of the public.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, including ESQCR requirements.
* Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota where required.

* Adhere strictly to framework safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
* Comply with Electricity at Work Regulations and company safety policies.
* Use appropriate PPE and ensure safe systems of work at all times.
* Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification.
* ECS / CSCS Card (Electrotechnical).
* Experience working within DNO frameworks (SPEN / ENWL preferred).
* Knowledge of LV distribution networks and utility standards.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Authorised Person (AP) or Competent Person status.
* First Aid at Work qualification.
* NRSWA certification.
* Experience with ICP/IDNO projects.
* Cable jointing or HV switching experience.
