Family Law Solicitor

£34,000‑£59,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A & Work level 5). Locations: Manchester City Centre, Bristol, Stratford‑Upon‑Avon or Sheffield – hybrid working between home and one day a week in the office. Due to continued growth of our Family Law team, we’re looking for solicitors across a variety of levels, from newly qualified up to Lead level.

Your expertise will help guide clients through important moments, and you’ll work closely with your team to share knowledge, support each other, and deliver the best service possible.


What you’ll do

* Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, active negotiation to get the best results for your clients.
* Use our case‑management system to ensure information is recorded accurately.
* Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit cost targets.
* Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
* If at senior or lead level, have line‑management responsibilities, role‑model inclusive leadership, and mentor junior members.
* If at lead level, delegate work throughout the team, act as a subject‑matter expert, and contribute to strategic positioning, marketing, and promotion of the department.


This role would suit people who have

* Qualified as a solicitor or CILEX qualified, with experience handling privately funded family law matters.
* Proven experience of working towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets.
* Good general IT skills including use of a case‑management system.
* Excellent relationship‑building skills, the ability to work collaboratively with all types of people, and provide excellent customer service.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Resilience with the ability to embrace change.
