Responsibilities: We ensure our Information Systems Acceptable Use Policy is fully adhered to by users. We monitor systems and activities and report suspected infringements to the relevant internal leaders. We ensure management of change processes are fully adhered to for all proposed changes. We monitor and keep all security functions enabled and up to date to protect our infrastructure from cyber threats. We administer and maintain our group infrastructure, business systems, and IT-related services. We direct and manage internal support personnel and external outsourced service providers as needed. We liaise with third-party software, hardware, and maintenance suppliers as necessary. We support the IT Infrastructure Manager and Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with cost-effective procurement of IT-related purchases. We manage the ordering, configuration, and deployment of end-user IT hardware. We resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner. We create and maintain documentation and records where necessary. We ensure all completed work is properly detailed and that relevant databases are updated. We maintain secure backup controls as necessary. We produce technical implementation and recovery documentation. We participate in project teams and may act as project manager for IT projects where required. We coordinate implementation and liaise with others as needed to deliver projects. We recognise actual or potential compatibility issues and resolve or avoid them. We support the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer in developing procedures for system diagnosis and full or partial system recovery. This is a newly created role that provides tactical support to our business, helping to ensure our IT infrastructure performs well, user issues are resolved, and improvements are delivered in line with our IT Strategy. The working pattern is Monday to Thursday on site and Friday working from home. We support up to 300 users across a multi-sited organisation, ranging from operators to Members of the Board, so strong stakeholder relationship skills are important.
