Metering Specialist£25,000 - £30,000 per yearLeicesterRole OverviewA market-leading utilities consultancy is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Metering Specialist to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing metering-related activities across an existing portfolio of clients, including new connections, smart meter installations, meter upgrades, and renewable energy solutions.The role supports internal account management and operations teams by overseeing metering-related projects and enquiries, ensuring delivery is efficient, compliant, and aligned with client requirements. Previous experience in utilities or metering is beneficial, although full training will be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their energy and metering requirementsManage metering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are achievedCoordinate with internal teams including engineering, billing, finance, sales, and data analyticsAct as the primary point of contact for metering suppliers, contractors, and service providersMonitor supplier performance, service level agreements, and delivery standardsEnsure all metering activities comply with industry regulations and internal policiesMaintain accurate documentation, compliance records, and audit logsIdentify process improvements and support the development of standard operating proceduresProvide guidance on metering technologies and processes when requiredProactively identify and manage project or operational risksCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multip
