About the Team Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council is seeking to recruit a Planning Officer within the Development Management team as a maternity cover. B&NES is a successful and diverse area containing not only the internationally renowned City of Bath which is a World Heritage Site, but also an extensive area of Green Belt, two National Landscapes, numerous Conservation Areas and an abundance of listed buildings and other heritage assets. About the Role Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council is seeking to recruit a full-time temporary Planning Officer within the Development Management side of the Planning Service. This is a great opportunity to work with a highly motivated and professional development management team and, as such, we are seeking applications from candidates with suitable qualifications and experience of dealing with a range of development proposals. The post provides an opportunity to deliver positive change in people s lives and to develop your career in a supportive working environment. About You The successful candidate needs to be a capable, enthusiastic and qualified planner, with experience of dealing with a variety of development proposals, a good knowledge of planning policy and legislation and effective customer service skills.
