Job Vacancy: Sous Chef Location: Charlton Athletic FC Training Ground, New Eltham Contract Type: Full-Time (5 days out of 7) Working Hours: Primarily daytime shifts; flexibility required Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum Charlton Athletic Football Club is seeking a professional and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the club’s training ground in New Eltham. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a high-performance environment, supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of elite athletes and staff. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, performance-led meals Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef Ensure all food is prepared in line with dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety compliance Support inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation Supervise and support junior kitchen staff as required Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in a Sous Chef role or equivalent within a professional kitchen environment Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs, particularly within a sports or health-focused setting Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities Food hygiene certification and relevant culinary qualifications What's in it for you?
