Responsibilities:
1. providing direct support to engineering platforms and microservices used to develop critical applications to modernize how data is leveraged across multiple DoD customers.
2. Developing infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services, and leveraging Python, Ansible, and Terraform programming languages.
3. Patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL
4. Install, configure, and provide performance support for Kubernetes, Docker, NiFi, and cloud metrics collection tools.
5. Managing CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab.
6. Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
Required Education/Certification:
8. 9 years of experience in Software Systems. (Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience, and a Master's degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.
9. Engineering/ Administration roles or a highly related field of work with a similar scope and responsibilities.
Required Experience:
10. Strong PaaS experience
11. Experience in configuring and managing LINUX operating systems.
12. Experience in investigating and resolving technical issues.
13. Active Security+ certification or other 8570 Compliant certifications.
14. Experience with Automated infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
15. Experience designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
16. Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters using Helm, Kustomize, and custom manifests.
