Job Description
In response to significant client demand and a strong infrastructure opportunity pipeline, the AECOM programme management advisory and delivery teams are seeking experienced individuals to work independently or with a Director to shape, develop, initiate and deliver client investment and business change programmes across the full programme lifecycle.
* Support the team in delivering strategic goals related to capability, growth and commercial targets.
* Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
* Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations.
* Apply a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation for all commissions.
* Demonstrate leadership in implementing AECOM health, safety and environment requirements.
* Develop strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional teams to support successful delivery.
* Identify and act on business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross‑selling opportunities.
* Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process.
* Ensure direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their career journeys.
* Share knowledge and best practice, promoting the team internally and externally with clients and industry bodies.
Qualifications
* Public and private sector infrastructure, aviation, energy, rail, and water experience preferred; other useful experience includes Defence, Government, Highways, Health and Decarbonisation.
* Complex, multi‑disciplinary programme and PMO management experience.
* Proven track record for delivery.
* Leadership, strategy development, relationship management, and complex problem‑solving skills.
* Management consulting experience.
* Demonstrable client engagement at senior levels.
* Experience in client management, managing live programmes while pursuing new opportunities.
* Line management experience in a consultancy business.
* Highly motivated with an extensive industry network.
* Ability to work across service lines, with a track record of cross‑selling.
* Commercial experience essential with a proven track record of winning and retaining new clients.
* Degree in project or programme management, construction, or engineering.
* ChPP or APM accreditation; Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) preferred.
* Experience using business information tools preferred.
