This position covers territories in Sussex & Kent, including Bromley, Dartford, Rochester, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, and Redhill. Ideally, the successful candidate will reside within this area.
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for professional commercial business partnering, sales development, and training of high-value, high-opportunity Kitchen Studios and Electrical Retail Partners. You will work closely with these partners to build and implement collaborative business plans that ensure Miele delivers a best-in-class partnership, achieving sales growth targets and objectives.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Miele Experience Centres to provide consumers with expert advice and hands-on demonstrations, bringing our products to life.
We seek candidates with strong commercial experience and emotional intelligence. Your previous sales and account management experience should demonstrate how you can add value to our organization.
To succeed, you should have a proven track record of delivering results in challenging sales environments, be passionate about exceeding targets, and excel at building strong business relationships. Experience in developing business through strategic planning and utilizing analytics for decision-making is essential.
Experience in executing multi-faceted promotional calendars to maximize exposure within the territory, and the ability to analyze financial data to identify challenges and opportunities, are highly desirable.
You should be a natural relationship builder, customer-focused, and embody ‘Immer Besser’ in your work ethic. Creativity, willingness to challenge the status quo, and overcoming objections to drive territory growth are important qualities.
This role is vital within Miele and involves close collaboration with the Head of Sales, Domestic Support Teams, Category Managers, Logistics, Service, and Finance.
You will be asked to demonstrate:
* Experience in commercial sales, partnership development, and customer management within a territory.
* Experience in sales and customer-facing roles.
* Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders internally and externally.
* Strong commercial acumen, including designing trade terms and ensuring partner compliance.
* The ability to adapt to meet business and customer demands.
* A positive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution.
