As a Student Experience Officer, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our students. Your primary focus will be to engage with learners, fostering an environment of enrichment and enjoyment. You will have the opportunity to design and implement a variety of activities and programs that enhance student life and contribute to a positive college experience.

Key Responsibilities
* To work with the Student Experience Manager to develop, coordinate and supervise a calendar of events cross college to raise aspirations and enhance the student experience of learners.
* Provide a range of activities throughout the learner journey from enrolment through to supporting progression, including 1:1, group work, workshops, and events planned through a central calendar of events which acknowledges national and international themes, days, weeks and college events.
* To collaboratively develop, co-ordinate and support a programme of cross college student experience activities to support the development of interpersonal skills for learners including focus weeks, learner voice events, focus groups and PACE sessions
* Regularly review the impact of all activities to ensure they are supporting with the embedding of Gatsby Benchmarks and having a positive impact on student experience at HHC. Utilising the six strands of the CDI framework and the Compass evaluation tool to evaluate activities and to shape the Student Experience Strategy and draft and create an annual report on Student Experience for SLT and Governors
* Work with the Curriculum Managers and the Personal Development Tutors, to monitor and regularly review take up of extra curricula activities that develop learners' skills and abilities such as Duke of Edinburgh award. This will also include liaising with these external partners.
* Identify barriers to participation, support needs, safeguarding and welfare concerns and work with Safeguarding and Welfare team to provide support
* To assist with general learner activities including open evenings and enrolments, support wider college teams as and when required. Undertake training and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) required for the role
* Other duties, of a similar level of responsibility, as may be required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications
* Essential Criteria
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (A level or equivalent)
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
* Level 2 IT qualification or prepared to work towards
* Level 3 Preparing to Teach qualification
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of coordinating Duke of Edinburgh awards and volunteering opportunities
* Experience and understanding of the Further Education sector
* Experience of working with mixed ages, cultures and abilities
* Experience of overseeing/ monitoring a budget and building costings for events.
IT Skills
* Essential Criteria
* Intermediate use of Microsoft applications
* Ability to use college systems to generate information and improve efficiency
