About the Role
In this position, you will take ownership of the full tendering and strategic sourcing cycle. This includes managing RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes from initial requirements alignment through documentation preparation, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and final award. You will be responsible for developing and executing category sourcing strategies that strengthen cost competitiveness, reduce risk, and elevate supplier performance. A key part of the role involves leading commercial contract negotiations, working closely with the Legal team on contract reviews, and ensuring timely execution of all agreements.
You will also oversee supplier management activities, maintaining and updating the supplier database while supporting the development of a preferred or strategic supplier framework. Building strong supplier relationships is essential, as you will monitor performance, conduct regular business reviews, and address any operational or commercial issues that arise.
On the operational side, you will manage PR, PO, contract, and goods‑acceptance processes within internal procurement systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. You will contribute to budgeting activities, cost analysis, supplier reporting, and the preparation of management reports.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of five years’ experience in procurement or sourcing is required, and exposure to the automotive, marketing/events, or management consulting sectors is considered an advantage. A strong understanding of tendering processes, contract terms, and supplier management methodologies is essential. Experience working within UK organisations or multinational companies is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Success in this role requires excellent negotiation, analytical, and commercial capabilities, along with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results in a fast‑paced environment. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential, as daily business communication will require the use of Chinese.
