We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to contribute to building a healthier nation at our club. The role involves delivering Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes through our unique pathway, supporting our Charitable Purpose. You will facilitate exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting both remotely and in person, aiding participants' recovery. The programme includes weekly 1-to-1 sessions, group classes (virtual and in person), and promotes goal setting and self-directed activity.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, influencing skills, excellent communication, organization, and self-motivation. You will collaborate onsite, centrally, and with our Charity team and beneficiaries. Essential skills include IT proficiency and a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Previous experience in a Rehabilitation Specialist role and an understanding of rehabilitation are preferred; a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
* Organize and run rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate live stream and in-person group exercise classes for individuals with varying abilities.
* Promote self-managed activity via pre-recorded classes and journals to support ongoing self-management post-programme.
* Adjust exercises and intensities based on participant progress.
* Monitor participants for deterioration, follow escalation procedures, and ensure accurate reporting and data collection.
* Conduct weekly 1-to-1 calls to set goals, understand restrictions, monitor progress, provide emotional support, and encourage self-directed activity.
