Salary Range: £31,537 - £34,434
We are seeking a proactive and passionate Energy Manager to join our dynamic FM team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be at the heart of energy management, maintenance coordination, and facilities operations ensuring our sites are energy efficient and fully functional. From managing contractors to conducting inspections, your work will directly impact the wellbeing of our teams and the performance of our buildings.
What You’ll Do:
* Oversee day‑to‑day energy operations across multiple sites
* Manage utility and energy contracts
* Maintain the Council’s energy management database
* Lead sustainability and energy‑efficiency initiatives
* Play your part in contributing towards a sustainable environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in an energy or carbon management role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A problem‑solver with a hands‑on approach
* Passion for making buildings energy efficient
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to also work on a rota basis. Flexi scheme is in operation; working hours are 9 am–5 pm based in Bury Town Hall.
