Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across primary schools in Ellesmere Port.

These roles offer fantastic opportunities to gain experience in a variety of settings while enjoying flexible supply work, with ad hoc, short-term and potential long-term placements available.

Location: Ellesmere Port
Start Date: ASAP
Key Stage: EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Roles: Supply – ad hoc, short-term & long-term

The Role:
You will deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress, and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment across different primary key stages.

We’re Looking For:
– ECTs with (or working towards) QTS
– Good behaviour management skills
– Reliable and professional approach
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Experience supporting pupils with SEND (beneficial)

Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

1. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
2. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
3. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
4. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
5. Maintain discipline
6. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
7. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
8. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
9. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
