More detail about the role
Your responsibility will be to manage the Community Rehabilitation Team in the cluster, which includes community teams as well as the inpatient team in Sidmouth Hospital. You will be managing the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team Leads (we have leads in HOSM and SAS, four leads in total).
It’s common to see adverts described as ‘an exciting opportunity’ with no real substance behind the assertion. However, this truly is an exciting opportunity! The HOSM/SAS cluster is the largest in Devon, formed a year ago by merging two clusters. It is approximately the size of Exeter and more than double many clusters.
We are an innovative, high-performing cluster, the most productive/efficient in Devon. We introduced a new system of allocation with no CRT waiting lists. We prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and have advanced dementia and hospice services. We achieve this through hiring excellent staff, fostering a friendly, high-achieving culture, and adopting systems-thinking methodology.
We seek passionate leaders who love our approach. If that’s you, please get in touch by emailing your phone number.
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9-5
Interview Date: To be confirmed
Contact: Richard Anderson, Community Services Manager
Pay: Salary reflects Agenda for Change 5/6 rates, with a pay award later this year. If you start before the award, backdated pay applies. Until then, pay is based on 4/5 pay banding (NHS Employers).
Inclusivity: We value diversity and are committed to an inclusive culture, encouraging applications from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. Priority will be given to NHS At Risk staff in Devon.
Note: The Trust reserves the right to close the vacancy once sufficient applications are received.
About Us:
We are the largest employer in Devon, with over staff across a wide area, providing emergency, specialist, and general medical services, as well as integrated health and social care. We are at the forefront of research and innovation, delivering world-class care.
