Overview
Health Care Support Worker – Housekeeper role within Urology Ward 11C at QEUH. Responsible for maintaining a clean environment conducive to patient care, co‑ordinate unit services, including cleaning, catering, supplies, linen services, and general maintenance. Report to the Senior Charge Nurse and work closely with support service departments to ensure national and local standards are met.
Shift Pattern
Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the ward and surrounding areas.
* Co‑coordinate cleaning schedules and coordinate with catering, supply and linen services.
* Report maintenance issues and coordinate rectification activities.
* Collaborate with Senior Charge Nurse and support service departments to meet standards.
Qualifications
* Good communication skills and professionalism.
* Motivation and willingness to support clinical care.
* Experience within a hospital environment is desirable but not essential.
* Computer skills are essential.
* Eligibility for NHS employment; no need for Certificate of Sponsorship.
