About the role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will provide tailored education and support to secondary students with diverse needs, fostering their academic and personal development. You will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that empowers students to achieve their full potential.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student development.
* Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching students with SEN, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting (secondary).
* Strong understanding of SEND strategies and behaviour management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
