LOCATION: UK BBC Bases (London or Salford)
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £35,000- £40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Business Coordinator will play a key role in enabling the smooth and effective operation of the Digital Portfolio HQ team. Supporting the Digital Portfolio Director and senior leadership, this role ensures the development, coordination and delivery of essential business activities that underpin the success of digital teams reaching over 20 million people every month.

Your work will support the creation and curation of content; the development and growth of digital services; and the digital transformation of the BBC. Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Support the Digital Portfolio Director in the best-in-class operation of their HQ
* Coordinate meetings and ad hoc team events, including planning, agendas, minutes, and follow ups
* Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support the Director and provide ad hoc support to their team
* Raise payments including purchase orders and chase up invoices
* Devise, deliver and optimise the business rhythm of the HQ
* Support the implementation of strategic priorities by collating information
* Proactively contribute to the development of an inclusive, high-performance culture
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Thrives on helping leaders and teams do their best work.
* Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working with people at all levels
* Proven experience in administrative support and business co-ordination with good attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, diary management, travel booking, meeting support, document writing and problem solving
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Desired But Not Essential
* Interest in digital media and how digital teams work
* Experience of working in a digital, media or cultural organisation
* Experience of handling sensitive data
* Experience of booking freelancers and providing budget overviews
* Sap, Teams and Smartbook experience would be an advantage.
