Working in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council, EQUANS is looking for a School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team in Grimsby on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 5 hours per week (During term time only). On offer is a salary of £.50 per annum, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package which includes an additional monthly allowance of £21.80.

What will you deliver?
1. Responsible for ensuring the safety of pedestrians whilst on the crossing point in a variety of traffic flows
2. Postholder must be physically fit as they are required to stand and walk for the length of their duty in all weather conditions, all year round
3. Carry out EQUANS and NEL Councils policy with regard to the School Crossing Patrol Service, this includes Health and Safety Procedures
4. Understand the value and usefulness of performance information and appreciate the need to monitor our progress
5. Have a clear focus on the key priorities for the company and the impact an individuals work can make on whichever priority(ies) are covered by their service area.

Who are we looking for?
17. Able to communicate effectively with children and adults alike
18. Able to work unsupervised after induction and have the ability to time keep
19. Basic numeracy and literacy skills
20. Ability to stand for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
21. Experience of working in or around a school environment (Desirable).
This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred List check therefore ability to pass is essential.
