My client is looking for a PT Finance and Accounts Assistant to
join their busy team. You will work closely with the leadership team and take full
responsibility of the all the accounts across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Ledger and Credit Control
Raising client invoices in Xero
Issuing credit notes where required
Allocating incoming payments
Chasing overdue invoices via email and phone
Maintaining the aged debt report
Flagging late payment risks early
Purchase Ledger
Posting supplier invoices
Reconciling company cards and expenses
Preparing payment information for approval
Bookkeeping and Reconciliation
Bank reconciliations
Stripe and GoCardless reconciliations
Ensuring transactions are correctly coded
Keeping Xero tidy and up to date
Finance Support
Supporting VAT return preparation
Providing information to accountants when required
Maintaining organised and accurate financial records
About the Candidate
Strong experience using Xero
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
Confident with credit control and speaking to clients about payments
Highly organised and detail focused
Able to work independently and take ownership of routine processes
Comfortable managing day to day finance tasks without constant supervision
Working Pattern
10 hours per week
Around 5 hours per week in the office
Remaining hours can be worked remotely
Flexible timing agreed in advance
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
Confident with credit control and speaking to clients about payments
