Importantly we do this together, as a team. \n\nAbout the role\nFrom your first day you will gain an understanding of manufacturing and engineering as a Graduate Apprentice. You will be involved in developing new products as well as working on our market leading products. You will be well supported from each and every team member within the company as you grow into your new career. Our apprenticeships offer a great opportunity for candidates looking to build a successful and rewarding career in design & engineering. \n What youâll be doing\n\nYou'll be involved in developing, delivering and supporting products from start to finish within the full range of our products and engineering services:\n\nKey responsibilities: \nâ¢\tSupporting the design and development of new products for our mental health and education customers\nâ¢\tCreating conceptual models, prototypes, and engineering drawings\nâ¢\tConducting product testing and recording results\nâ¢\tCollaborating with manufacturing, supply chain, and our inâhouse test facility\nâ¢\tContributing ideas to improve performance, safety, and sustainability\nâ¢\tCarrying out engineering reviews of product failures, identify root cause and work with our quality team to resolve issues\nâ¢\tWorking to maintain product compliance with legislative requirements such as fire compliance and CE marking\n\t\nWhat skills will I learn? \n\nThe CAD Design Pathway offers skills and knowledge development in Engineering Analysis, Engineering Design, Manufacture & Materials, CAD, Design Process and Assembly and Manufacture. \nWe pride ourselves on offering our apprentices learning and development opportunities that will support your progress in a stable and technically challenging environment. Through a structured training plan we will enable you to achieve both career progression and your goal of achieving a professional recognised engineer status in the future. You will undertake a Graduate Apprenticeship BEng Engineering Design & Manufacture work-based degree with our University Partner, Glasgow Caledonian University commencing in September 2026 for 4 years. \n What youâll bring:\n\nYou should have a passion for a future career in design engineering and see this as a wonderful opportunity to work and study through the next 4 years. We are looking for a good communicator and team player. Someone with excellent listening skills with energy, drive and initiative. \n\nEntry requirements\nâ¢\tSchool leavers: SQA Highers BBCC, including Maths, plus National 5 English at C.\nâ¢\tFoundation Apprenticeships: We accept selected FAs alongside Highers. An FA can replace one Higher at grade B in our standard entry.\nâ¢\tNonâstandard applicants: Those with relevant work experience or professional qualifications may be considered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which allows previous formal or informal learning to count toward entry.\n\nWhat youâll get from us\nâ¢\tHands-on experience with experienced engineers\nâ¢\tSupportive mentorship and development\nâ¢\tA welcoming, inclusive team where your ideas are valued\nâ¢\t1 day release to attend University\nâ¢\tDiscretionary study leave during exam time
