The Role As an Art Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to teaching staff and students to ensure the smooth delivery of lessons. Key responsibilities include: Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for practical Art lessons. Supporting teachers during lessons and assisting students with practical activities. Maintaining, organising, and managing Art resources, including storage of materials and tools. Assisting with the setup and installation of student work for displays and exhibitions. Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines, including safe handling of paints, chemicals, and tools. Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed to maintain resources. Supporting departmental projects, events, and creative initiatives. Candidate Requirements Experience working with art materials and techniques, ideally in a school or creative environment. Organised, proactive, and reliable with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to practical Art lessons. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support staff and students effectively. Enthusiasm for supporting creativity and learning in a school setting.
