Job Summary
Restaurant Six is a small, intimate dining venue on the high street of a busy market town.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a menu that reflects our commitment to quality and hospitality.
Duties
* Develop, design, implement and execute innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, providing leadership and motivation.
* Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
