Working Pattern:Hybrid- 2 days per week in Birmingham.

Hays are working with one of our key public sector clients, based in Birmingham, to recruit for an interim Paralegal position within their Housing team. This role manages legal housing review cases from start to finish within six weeks, ensuring thorough investigation, clear communication and timely decisions. Responsibilities include gathering evidence from professionals, drafting minded‑to letters, reviewing representations and reassessing decisions when required. The postholder will handle complex claims, including those from organisations such as Shelter and Central England Law Centre, covering issues like disrepair, family composition and mobility needs, with occasional oral submissions. The role requires strong housing law experience-particularly s and s reviews-plus knowledge of homelessness legislation, suitability assessments and civil litigation.
Role Duties
1. Manage legal review cases from start to finish, typically concluding within 6 weeks.
