Uties & Responsibilities
* To assist with the preparation of food.
* To assist with serving meals and collecting used crockery and cutlery at the end of breakfast, dinner and tea.
* To assist with the daily preparation of the dining room and counter.
* To undertake cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas, including the washing of kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery etc.
* To store goods delivered.
* To assist with the preparation of buffets and working lunches.
* To undertake such other duties related to the work of the department, appropriate to the post, as may be assigned.
* The post-holder may have the opportunity to assist with the preparation of food for special functions, such as events, parties etc., as required.
* The post-holder will be allotted a time scale in which these duties must be performed.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
* Basic food preparation and service of food.
* Working in a busy kitchen environment.
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 1.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures / systems.
* Knowledge of food safety .
* Creativity and presentation skills.
Summary
As a Still Room Assistant, you will support food preparation and safety processes while ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. Reporting to the kitchen manager A Food Hygiene Certificate is required but not essential as we will offer training in this area this enables us to uphold our commitment to food safety and quality.
