The salary for this role is £32,577. Onsite working is expected for 3 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role is based at Culham, Oxfordshire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
The Role
The Tritium Fuel Cycle (TFC) division is leading the delivery of tritium life cycle solutions for sustainable fusion energy, aiming to maximise the scientific and economic benefits as a result. In addition to delivering high-impact research and development programmes, the division is also responsible for designing, delivering, and operating cutting-edge tritium life cycle facilities. Furthermore, the division seeks to develop productive collaborations and grow a community of experts through the sharing and assimilating of knowledge.
The Innovation Groups within the Tritium Fuel Cycle division are comprised of research and development teams that pursue tritium life cycle development. The focus of the team is on delivering research which supports the realisation of a commercially viable fusion tritium life cycle. The groups also provide services to enable the validation and prototyping of novel processes on scales to accelerate their readiness for applications.
As Technical Coordinator you will provide professional support to multiple, medium complexity, engineering projects by ensuring relevant procedures and protocols are followed including:
• technical documents are controlled, completed, and submitted
• databases/systems are correct and up to date, in accordance with project milestones.
Additional Responsibilities:
* To be the local information manager (LIM) for assigned project(s).
* Creating, collating, and managing key technical documents for the whole project cycle in accordance with process requirements.
* Create and maintain project-related databases and trackers e.g. quality control, purchase orders, changes, and ensure information is correct and up-to-date.
* Check and allocate correct information/document access rights on project databases (for internal parties).
* Assist with preparations of technical reports, specification and tender documents and provide status updates as and when required.
* Assist managers with engineering procurement, processing, filing, and distribution of documents and chasing of actions.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant qualification e.g. HNC / apprenticeship or equivalent in Business, Science and/or Engineering related discipline.
* Knowledge and experience of managing a Sharepoint site
* Good interpersonal skills - Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
* Previous experience of and good technical report writing skills.
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
* Good IT literacy and competency in utilising MS Office – word, excel, powerpoint, outlook, etc.
* Able to work autonomously with minimum supervision
