We are looking for a laboratory technician (construction) to work from our state of art laboratory in Doncaster. This role is to work within a team of people supporting the laboratory manager. All on the job training will be given. The role involves physical activity including the manual handling of samples up to 20kgs.
Responsibilities
* To produce test results in accordance with our procedures, standards and specification
* Physical testing of construction materials
* To ensure that the laboratory working areas are safe and clean environment in which to work.
* Preparation of materials for laboratory testing
* To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
* To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.>
* To integrate into the team and maintain a strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory.
Objectives
* Producing test results in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
* To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements.
* To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments in which to work.
* Ensure data is accurate
* To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
Performance Measures
* Timely completion of test schedules.
* Test output levels and team productivity rates.
* Accuracy of administration and attention to detail.
* Health & Safety adherence.
* Quality control procedure adherence.
